《Appetite for Destruction》是GNR于1987年发行的第一张正式大碟。
在这之前乐队曾发行过一张4首歌的校园EP《Live Like A Suicide》，但反响平平。所以，真正把GNR变成super star的不是Don't Cry，而是这张销量达到1500万张横空出世的《Appetite for Destruction》。
很多fans和乐迷都认为，GNR最好最伟大最完美的专辑并不是双CD的《Use Your Illusion》，而是这张从天而降、势不可挡的打入主流音乐市场、完美融合了Blues，Heavy Metal，Hard Rock，Pop Metal，Grunge等各种元素的《Appetite for Destruction》。
在这张专辑里，Slash和Izzy丰富浑厚灵活多变的双吉他已经得到完全表现，Axl音质的多变和音域的宽广也让广大乐迷叹为观止。
